My sculptures are figurative, but with strong expression using deformed and simplified forms. Sometimes those aggressive forms develop and reform into clear abstract or decorate forms expressing the artist’s proposal or artistic idea. I am obligated, not only to the subject I have chosen, but also to my individual interpretation of the subject. This is very important to for me. I strive to transform my feelings, emotional experiences, and artistic values into the creation process. Always integrating those experiences into artwork this way can birth a contemporary masterpiece that holds our attention, our focus, and provoke our thoughts and imaginations, and stimulate our emotions and desire to gaze upon it again and again.
